Biography

Located in Dunedin, Florida, Suzane L. Woollums, Esq., focuses her practice solely in the area of Family Law, which encompasses Adoption, Collaborative Divorce, Divorce, Guardian Ad Litem, Modification or Enforcement of prior orders, Paternity, Prenuptial or Postnuptial Agreements, and Relocation. Each case is different, and with over 20-years of legal experience, Ms. Woollums brings a breadth of knowledge to assist in fashioning a tailor-made solution for your Family Law matter.

Ms. Woollums' solution-focused practice philosophy differs from other attorneys in that she views each Family Law matter as a family in crisis. Emotions can run high in Family Law, and Ms. Woollums strives to take the drama out of an already dramatic situation to facilitate a calm and fair resolution. Ms. Woollums brings compassionate care during one of life's most challenging times and strives to bring restoration to a broken situation.

Ms. Woollums was born and raised in Iowa, and obtained her bachelor's degree in business from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1989, and her law degree from Drake University Law School in 1992. After practicing in Des Moines, Iowa for two years, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois for 10 years where she was an associate of a large insurance law focused firm before being recruited by the firm's top insurance client to create and manage an in-house legal department. Ms. Woollums then moved to Colorado, where she was recruited by a Fortune 500 company as an associate general counsel gaining even more business knowledge and skills. Ms. Woollums then married and relocated to Clearwater, Florida in 2004. Unfortunately, Ms. Woollums went through a contentious divorce. It was this event that spurred her on to dedicate her practice exclusively to Family Law and helping others going through what she herself experienced first-hand.

"If I didn't turn my mess into a message, then what was the point of going through so much pain. I decided to refocus my efforts to helping people through their own family law case. Having been there myself, I knew I could bring a unique perspective and compassion to an otherwise difficult and uncertain situation. I strive to bring my clients hope that they too can get through this and come out the other side better than ever." - Suzy
